In Agrinio and in the stadium of Panaitolikos there will be a delegation of the founding members and non-founding members of our Structure in order to honor the artist-cartoonist, Christos Papanikos, but also the club of Panaitolikos for the great attitude they showed immediately after the brutal murder of Alkis Campanou.
The press release states:
“The February 1st Structure – In the Name of Alkis, continues its actions, highlighting faces and actions that reflect on not forgetting Alkis and changing the fan culture in Greece.
A delegation from founding and non-founding members of the Structure will be present on Sunday, August 28 in Agrinio at the match of the 2nd match of the Super league between Panaitolikos and Aris.
The reason is the awarding of the historian Panaitolikos and the artist-caricaturist Christos Papanikos, who created the now well-known banner depicting the mythical hero and emblem of the Agrinio club Titormos, holding the lifeless body of Alkis Kampanos who was murdered in Thessaloniki.
A member of the Structure bid in a related auction so that the banner is in her hands and on Sunday it will be hung in Agrinio, returning, temporarily, to its creators that the Structure will honor.
The Board of Directors of the Structure got in touch with the administration of Panaitolikos and before the match a simple ceremony will take place, while the banner will be hung in a special area.
